Quick info: Precision vehicle, configured for high damage at long distance.

Short description: The Sharpshooter is the master of long-range warfare. Its Sabot Rifle is precise and powerful, and can be granted extra damage with the Power Shot special ability.

Ingame history: The M4 Res model was originally conceived as a modifiable infantry piece. The chassis was created with the concept of offering pilots a variety of front shield attachments to allow this mech to change roles on the fly. It was quickly discovered that heavy mechs were significantly more suitable for the battlefront. Over time, the Res was positioned farther and farther from the frontlines, eventually finding its home as the Sharpshooter's model of choice.

How to pilot the Sharpshooter: The Sabot rifle is far more effective when using the scope. Un-scoped accuracy is greatly diminished. Keep your distance from the front lines. The Sharpshooter is at a disadvantage in close quarters.

How to defeat the Sharpshooter: Use cover to approach the Sharpshooter, attacking from the flank or rear if possible. Watch out for Portable Scanners and MG Turrets that may give you away. Never boost straight at a Sharpshooter. You will most likely not survive to get into close quarters combat.

Slug Rifle - Alternate Primary

A highly accurate, long-range rifle. Outpowered at close ranges but highly effective when used from afar.

AM-SAR - Prestige Primary

An Anti-Mech rifle with high accuracy and high rate of fire.

Sabot Rifle - Secondary

A long-range, magnet-based sniper with increased damage and accuracy when zoomed.

Power Shot - Ability

Greatly increase damage done by all weapons for a very short duration.

Hologram - Stock Item

A decoy projection system that creates a mirror image of the pilot's mech.
